Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated: October 14, 2026

ProjectG (“ProjectG,” “we,” “us,” or “the app”) is a Catholic prayer, novena, and Bible app. This policy explains what information ProjectG handles, why it is handled, when outside services receive information, and the choices available to you.

Plain-language summary: ProjectG is free and has no ads or advertising SDK. An account is optional. If you sign in, only novena plans and completion progress sync. Intentions, journal entries, blessings, Bible progress, and settings stay on your device.

TestFlight transition: This policy describes the ad-free update. Older test builds may still contain the advertising SDK; update before using them. The database now blocks private-text uploads from older builds, so their old sync feature may report an error.

Information stored on your device

ProjectG can store the following information locally so its features work between sessions:

If you remain signed out, ProjectG does not upload your prayer records to a ProjectG account. Device backups and device-to-device transfers may include local app data according to your Apple or Google operating-system settings.

Optional account and cross-device sync

An account is optional. If you choose “Continue with Apple” or “Continue with Google,” that provider authenticates you and may provide ProjectG with a provider account identifier, email address, and name, depending on your provider choices. Supabase supplies ProjectG’s authentication and database service.

While you are signed in, ProjectG may store and synchronize:

Intentions, journal entries, blessings and their locations, streaks, Bible progress, preferences, and reminder schedules stay on each device and are not synchronized. Novena selections and progress can reveal religious activity; account sync is optional. Synced information is used to provide account access, backup, restoration, cross-device consistency, support, security, and account deletion. ProjectG does not use private prayer content for analytics or advertising.

Authentication and hosting providers process information under their own policies: Apple Privacy Policy, Google Privacy Policy, and Supabase Privacy Policy.

Free, with no advertising

ProjectG has no ads, subscriptions, or in-app purchases. John Money does not make any money from ProjectG. The app does not include an advertising SDK or request permission for advertising tracking. We do not sell personal information.

Reference services and external links

When an online feature makes a request, its provider receives the requested URL and ordinary connection information such as your IP address, device network information, and request time. ProjectG does not attach your private prayer records or account identifier to these reference requests.

Website visits

This website is hosted by Cloudflare. Visiting it sends ordinary connection information, including your IP address and requested page, to the hosting provider. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which also receives connection information when your browser requests those fonts. The website has no advertising or analytics scripts and does not receive your in-app prayer records. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy.

Notifications and device permissions

If you enable reminders, ProjectG asks for notification permission and schedules reminders locally on your device. ProjectG does not use a server to send prayer reminders. The app does not request access to your contacts, photo library, microphone, or precise GPS location for its current features.

Information you send to us

If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you include. We use it to respond, troubleshoot, prevent abuse, and maintain necessary support records. Do not include private prayer content unless you want us to receive it.

Data retention and deletion

Uninstalling ProjectG does not by itself delete a signed-in ProjectG account. Revoking Apple or Google authorization also does not delete the ProjectG account. Use the in-app deletion control or follow the instructions on the account-deletion page.

Security and international processing

ProjectG uses platform authentication, encrypted network connections, database access controls, and per-user database rules intended to prevent one account from accessing another account’s records. No system can guarantee absolute security. Service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live, subject to their safeguards and applicable law.

Your choices and privacy requests

You can use the main prayer features without creating an account, decline notifications, sign out, delete supported entries, or permanently delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of personal information associated with your account. Email support@project-g.app with a privacy request. We may need to verify that you control the relevant account.

Children’s privacy

ProjectG is intended for adults and a general audience. It is not directed specifically to children under 13, and we do not knowingly ask children under 13 to create accounts or submit personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Bible and prayer content

The in-app Bible reader uses the public-domain Douay-Rheims translation. ProjectG includes traditional prayers and prayers drawn from identified historical Catholic publications. The app provides source-transparency notes and does not claim ecclesiastical approval. The New American Bible and NAB Revised Edition are copyrighted by the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine; ProjectG links to USCCB pages rather than reproducing that text.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app, its providers, or legal requirements change. The current version and its effective date will remain available on this page.
