Privacy Policy

ProjectG (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a Catholic prayer and novena app. We built it to respect your privacy. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.

Plain summary: ProjectG does not require an account and does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal information. Everything you create in the app stays on your device.

Information stored on your device

The following is saved locally on your device only, so the app remembers your activity between sessions:

• Your active and completed novenas, streaks, and prayer check-ins
• Prayer intentions and Daily Night Prayer notes you write
• Blessings you mark on the map (place name, city, saint, and your reflection)
• Preferences such as theme, accent color, and reminder settings

This information never leaves your device. We cannot see it, and it is removed if you delete the app.

Information we do not collect

• We do not require or create an account.
• We do not use analytics, advertising, or third-party trackers.
• We do not collect your name, email, contacts, photos, or precise location.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone.

City search

When you add a blessing and search for a city, the app sends only the city name you type to the Open-Meteo geocoding service to look up matching locations. No account information or personal data is sent, and the request is not tied to your identity. Open-Meteo processes this request under its own privacy terms. If you are offline, city search is unavailable, but the rest of the app continues to work.

Notifications

If you turn on reminders, the app asks your device for permission to send local notifications and schedules them on your device at the times you choose. These notifications are generated locally and are not sent through our servers.

Bible and prayer content

Scripture in the app is from the Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible, and prayers are traditional Catholic texts. This content is provided for personal devotional use.

Children’s privacy

ProjectG is suitable for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Data deletion

Because your data lives only on your device, you can remove all of it at any time by deleting the app. There is no server-side copy to request deletion of.

Future account sync

A future version may offer an optional sign-in so you can back up or sync your prayer rhythm across devices. That feature would be strictly optional, and if we add it we will update this policy and the app store privacy disclosures before it is released, describing exactly what is stored and how to delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. The current version will always be available at this page.
